I guess it really kind of depends on what's causing the mood swings, right?

I try to stay healthy best I can. Regular exercise, balanced diet, enough sleep every night - waking up and going to bed at about the same time every night. I have never felt better since taking these simply and often overlooked steps.

You don'[t have to be bipolar to get mood swings. I can't remember the name of it, but I suffer from it. It's not as bad as bipolar.
Bipolar is usually alot more serious.

Cyclothymia? It's considered a mild form of bipolar. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

TBH, I don't remember. It's been awhile since I been in therapy.

It's very time consuming, but maybe keep a mood journal... just for a specific amount of time, 5 days, a week... then look back on it and maybe you can pinpoint certain times of day, or certain things that flip you. (mood wise)
I used to suffer from severe moodswings... I just kind of take them in stride now... And you're 18... things are still going on in your mind and body...
Good luck!

Keeping a journal is an awesome idea. Writing stuff down has always been really therapeutic for me...and being able to look back on stuff has given me some insight into things I wouldn't have thought about normally.

If someone gets you in a mood, 'swing on em'. J/K!
