Add potatoes, make a cottage pie or use meat for a chilli con carne, a pasta dish...

Easiest and best chili ever...

Throw a lb of ground beef (brown it first and remove the grease) in your crock pot, add a large can of whole tomatos, a midsize can of diced tomatos, tsp of cumin, couple of garlic cloves minced, medium onion chopped up, large can of light or dark red kidney beans and two tbs of chili powder (or more chili powder, put to your liking). Add crushed red pepper to your liking as well, the more the hotter. Salt and pepper.

Its cheap and AWESOME. You can add chopped green peppers as well.

Simmer on low about 6-8 hours or on high 4-5

Mix it with breadcrumbs, herbs and a bit of chilli add an egg (or 2) to bind it roll them into small balls to make meatballs or a bit bigger, flatten and you have beefburgers.

Or just brown it in a pan and add a jar of bolognese sauce, make some pasta and you have a spaghetti bolognese.

And if you have got any of those left over tiger prawns and that Beluga caviar you have still got lurking in the back of your fridge you could also make some scrummy hors d'oeuvres.

Chow mein?

You can substitute the chinese vegetables with just cabbage for a dirt cheap version.
