Is this true about Verizon's "Droid" phone?

Well...the reason I found out about it is they did a news story about a local woman who was being staked by her ex through her cell phone. So you may not need to worry about the government (since they'd have to physically have your phone to install the software) but beware of any possible psychos you might be dating or partying with.

No, that's not something to worry about. I feel bad that your mom's concerned about that. Someone told me a while back that the government listens in on our phone calls. I posted a thread about it. It would be impossible to keep track of every phone call ever made.

It woule be impossible to listen to every phone conversation, but it's certainly not impossible to log and track every call. The phone companies do it as a matter of course, so they know where traffic is increasing, and how to bill.

And once they've got this guys fingerprints, all bets are off.

And hence the popularity of prepaid cell phones

Oh, yeah. Why didn't I think of that? I've seen cases on TV about criminals' phone records being retrieved by the FBI and other authorities.

I knew a woman who was calling and harassing another woman. It was over some man. The woman claimed she was not making the calls but her phone records proved otherwise. I'd be ashamed of myself for doing that.



Hey, that's a good idea! I've been thinking about getting one but not because I have anything to hide. My cell phone bill is too high at the moment.
