You're right and wrong. The casing would actually have enough force to go through your hand if the round discharged in your hand...The reason the case doesnt go anywhere in a gun is because it is secure in gun. The only reason it moves at all is after the round is fired, the casing is ejected (in semi automatic and fully automatic weapons.)
