100 years ago my neighbourhood was arable farmland. My house and the rest of the estate was built in 1967. As for the rest of Luton, the old town hall would've still been there (it was burnt down in 1919), the airport was still 28 years away, but Luton Town FC were already at Kenilworth Road. There was no Arndale shopping centre, just normal streets with shops where it now stands.
