Why the hell does this s*** keep appearing on my laptop?

I don't and have never had Norton on this laptop but this keeps appearing every week or so and it's starting to f***ing piss me off. Anyone know how I can stop it happening? There's no options to do anything but stop scan, close or buy Norton when it pops up.

No because it opens up in my taskbar in a window not in a browser window. And it starts scanning automatically I don't even have to start it. I left my laptop on while I went downstairs for dinner and when I got back it was already running without even asking for permission. I keep pausing it and then closing it but I just want it gone.

Oh, then maybe it has been in the laptop from the start. When I bought my laptop it already had a anti-virus program.

Go to add or remove programs and look for anything by norton or symantec

Hate to tell you--but you got a worm---when I had something like that --I dated a computer geek to solve it for me

I removed it from my program list.
