I was bored so I decided to go through my photos to remind myself what I got up to last year. Here's my highlights from the first six months.

JANUARY

I started the year with a holiday in Norway

MS Polarlys, the ship that took us Tromso-Kirkenes-Tromso

Me with some of the dogs after dog sledging near Tromso at the end of the holiday

FEBRUARY

I went to see the rallying in Bournemouth.

Bizarrely one of the stages takes place through the gardens. That's an ice cream kiosk that this car is going past!

MARCH

Sugarland gig at Shepherd's Bush Empire

APRIL

I went to Wembley to see the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final.

The mighty Luton Town receiving the trophy after beating Sc***horpe United 3-2 after extra time

Then I saw The Prodigy at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham

Luton Town FC paraded the Johnstone's Paint Trophy through the town centre.

LTFC with the JPT on the way to the Town Hall

MAY

Back to Shepherd's Bush Empire again, this time for a Taylor Swift gig.

Visited the Cambridge Gliding Centre open day at Gransden Lodge.

Spent the Spring Bank Holiday weekend at Southend for the airshow

The Red Arrows in their trademark Diamond Nine formation at Southend

The following weekend I went for a bike ride around the Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire.

View from the top of the monument (I left the bike at the bottom!)

And then the next day I went for a ride along the riverside in Bedford.

The Swan Hotel overlooking the River Ouse in Bedford

JUNE

Went for a 25-mile bike ride around Rutland Water

Normanton Church on Rutland Water

I visited The English School of Falconry

And then went for a 20-mile bike ride around the Bedfordshire countryside.

The ride took us past the old airship sheds at Cardington. I think these are awesome

Yep, I was pretty busy. Up until last year I'd spent most of my time playing or watching football but I'd got fed up with that so I decided to try and make up for it last year by doing as much other stuff as possible.

wow cool pics you have there. I have been to Ashridge its not far from me. It's nice there. I usually go for the walk in the woods and then end up having lunch at the expensive shop there do they still have the little wooden cabin by the lake in the middle of the woods?

There's a cabin in the woods. I took a photo of it when I was there in December. Third pic down in this thread: Sun & Snow

I've never seen any lake at Ashridge though!

Hi everyone, thanks for your kind comments. Here's some photos from the rest of the year. Sorry it's a bit aeroplane-heavy but I hadn't been to any airshows since I was a kid and I suddenly got really back into it.

JULY

Started with a cross country cycle ride to Pirton, which is one of the local villages, for the village fair. I went mainly because the have a small air display, but I thought I'd put a picture of something else because there are enough pics of planes coming up.

This is supposed to be a re-enactment of Vikings v Saxons I think!

The Bedfordshire County Show was the following day

Nice horsies!

I went to both days of the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford, which is the world's largest military airshow

PA474 Avro Lancaster B1 of the RAF Battle of Britian Memorial Flight

G-VLCN/XH558 Avro Vulcan B2 of Vulcan To The Sky

AUGUST

Air Atlantique Classic Flight open day at Coventry Airport

G-VROE/WD413 Avro Anson T21

World Aerobatic Championships at Silverstone

G-IIRP CAP232 flown by competitor Richard Pickin

At the same time as the WAC, Silverstone was also hosting a round of the British Touring Car Championship

Team RAC BMW 3-series entering the pit lane during qualifying

The day after the WAC at Silverstone, was the Little Gransden Airshow

G-MSTG/414419 North American P-51D Mustang "Janie", one of two Mustangs belonging to Maurice Hammond. Lucky git!

SEPTEMBER

Open day at Wroughton. This is where the Science Museum store their large objects that aren't currently on display. There are some hidden gems tucked away in there including aircraft, cars and motorbikes.

G-BVHK Cameron V-77 hot air balloon being inflated at Wroughton

Community Day Fly-In at North Weald in Essex

G-HHII/BE505 Hawker Hurricane IIB owned be Peter Teichman, another lucky git with a collection of warbirds

My best mate's wedding

The bride and groom and their families

At the end of September Luton Town were playing at Wrexham, so me and a couple of mates decided to go to the game and then spend a few days in North Wales.

Scenic Snowdonia

Came home from Wales on the Friday and took part in the Prince's Trust Palace to Palace charity bike ride on the Sunday. It's a 40 mile route from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle. Luckily the weather was perfect and it was great fun.

In the crowd waiting to set off somewhere near Buckingham Palace

OCTOBER

I don't seem to have any pics from October. Must've been a boring month, although I did start learning to snowboard.

NOVEMBER

I went to Taylor Swift's concert at Wembley. Excellent gig despite all the high pitched screaming from all the teenage girls.

Taylor performing "Love Story" at Wembley

DECEMBER

It snowed. Yay!

Monument at Ashridge

Thanks for looking

Them steep steps are a bugger to walk up in Ashridge. I am knackered by the time I get to the top.

Bloody dangerous too, especially if there are people coming the other way. I don't like it at the top. It makes me feel funny. I don't like heights, unless there's a fence high enough that I can't lean over the edge!
