There are problems with the delivery of healthcare services everywhere as we have seen with the recent catastrophe in Haiti.

I can tell you that both of the healthcare institutions that I work for live in mortal fear of the government, both state and federal, cutting medicare and medicaid payments.

Control and fear, again.

That's the core problem with government-run industries: management and too much bureaucracy. How did this turn into a discussion on universal health care though?

Well you say your health care system is a joke, but brush that off as a minor issue to do with bureaucracy and management.

Well, I'm saying that if your system is a joke because of bureaucracy and management, that's a fundamental, core issue that can't ever possibly be avoided by any state-controlled industry.

I think the Joke is on us, the truth be known, no country can afford a proper medical health system, it's just too expensive.
