Vote UKIP?
Well there is that option, but there is also a "proper" party which is promising a referendum on the EU - the LibDems.
If having a referendum is so important - personally I think the economy, education standards, standard of living, criminal justice, the NHS........tiny things like that are sorta more important - but if it is important, then why not vote LibDem instead of a bunch of yahoos and thinly disguised xenophobes who frankly think the wogs start at Calais.
Your comments are those that I have seen a hundred times,I am however at a loss to understand why you libs and the socialists always end up name calling when you have no argument.
Instead of calling UKIP and by implication those of us that would vote for them Xenophobes who frankly think wogs start at Calais and therefore also racist why not try to give Three good reasons why we are better off in the EU than out.
Maybe you could for example show why my thinking that the figures I give you below of money wasted is wrong or racist or xenophobic, and why that money would not be better spent here on exactly the things you mention like the NHS and education.
Once the harmful impacts of its numerous policies and regulations have been taken into account, the cost of our EU membership is calculated to be ?118 billion a year. That is equal to ?1,968 for every man, woman and child ? a life-changing amount of money for millions who are currently struggling to make ends meet.
So what is that cost made up of? Up front, we paid the EU ?16,398 million of taxpayers? money directly in 2008: ?650 for every person, or ?45 million a day. This goes into the central EU budget. Of course, that ?16,398 million contribution is a gross figure and the EU are always quick to point out that we receive money back from Brussels in the form of grants.
In fact, in 2008 they were generous enough to hand ?9,830 million of our own money back to us.
Maybe if you have time you might also tell me how the cost of around ?2000 PA for a every man woman and child helps with the cost of living you say you are concerned about..
Oh and you mentioned Criminal justice maybe you know something I dont...
This from the Telegraph ( but you will find its the same whatever the source ) is pretty much my take on it
Can you imagine being tried in this country for something that is not a crime here? If this sounds like something Kafka might have dreamt up, it is actually a proposal before EU interior ministers that will soon be enshrined in UK law. It is the sort of legislation that, were it going through Parliament, would be exciting a good deal of comment and debate; but because it is being promulgated in the councils of Europe, hardly anyone knows it is happening.
The initiative, known as the Transfer of Criminal Proceedings, is the latest in a succession of pan-European reforms designed to speed up extradition, prosecution and conviction of criminals. You might think that is no bad thing ? except that how a country organises its system of criminal law and sanction is the very essence of nationhood. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/philipjohnston/6528811/EU-reform-that-sweeps-British-justice-aside.html
Even better - the LibDems actually have other policies other than Europe. Amazing huh.
What will be really amazing is if you or anyone else can refrain from witless sarcasm long enough to give three good well thought out reasons why we are better in than out.
