The Stream

Bubbles and splashes, water playfully moves.
Cold, yet pleasantly passes through my fingers.
Clear and fresh, over pebbles and stones,
Always on the move, it never lingers.

So clean, it filters through stone.
Safe to drink, it quenches my thirst.
Moving onward and downward, neverending.
Bubbles on the water sparkle before they burst.

The sound is a tinkle as it continues on.
Washing the stones and rocks on the bed.
Sun gleams down and reflects its light.
The stream will soon be a river, not too far ahead.

I am particually proud of this one. It provokes the mind to imagine being there and hearing the sounds and feeling the water.
