All you need is a pair of scissors, alot of cheap tape and alot of cheap wrapping paper.

letter writing (bought lists of known contributors)
neighborhood carnival
rally
small ads in local newspapers
having letters published in newspapers
door-to-door canvassing

letter sto all the names of people who have previously contributed to similar causes. you have to buy the lists.
