I refer to the delusional and confused way that we think about animals as a social/moral matter as constituting ?moral schizophrenia.?

I had a recent encounter with moral schizophrenia in dealing with a deer who had been hit by a car and the hunters who stopped to help the deer.

In this Commentary, I describe and discuss what happened.

There is a method to alot of the madness out there but using this hunter as example:

Hunter needs to feed family for a week.

Hunter only needs to drop two deer to feed family for the week.

Hunter accidentally injurs third deer with vehicle and attempts to rescue it as he has no place to store the deer's meat and does not want to take more than what is necessary to feed his family.

I'd like to also add that although I don't condone hunting, I also don't codemn it.

I knew a man with a wife and two little ones in TN and the job that he had wasn't enough to feed all of them and keep them warm and clothed.

His hobby for hunting turkey and deer is what was keeping him and his alive. =)

I think, if the animal is alredy dead and would just rot, people should take it for meat, skin and bones.

I always applauded Natives because they use all of the animal. Even though I am against hunting, they use it all.
