i have a avi to dvd converter

i converted an avi movie to dvd burnt it but it wont play on my dvd player any idea why
if u could tell me what to do i would be glad of the help

are you using a PAL or NTSC? if you don't have the converted video in the right version it won't play on a tv or dvd player. Also some dvd players don't play dvd-r or dvd-rw so you might need to check that.

I am using PAL but it plays both and yes it does play dvd-r or dvd-rw vcd svcd etc is there a specific way to burn the file rather than just putting it on disc

Use something like Nero to burn a DVD video disc
