Greed and corruption governs the lives of this workaholic society.
People think not of others, just their own fortune and fame.
The wealth and fame give them delusions of being almighty.
I am just a spectator of this destructive game.

It is in these flaws of society that our foundation begins to decay.
The greed and corruption day after day carries us closer to our inevitable end.
The end will arrive like an unexpected plague, and no one will know why it came their way.
The flaws of society disguised the truth and made them unable to comprehend.

Is this poetry or prose or a little of both? It's very profound, yet the syllable count is long and uneven. I've been reviewing too much poetry.
