@sheepy Said

Democracy can be a b**** huh

You have to examine just why people are voting for the BNP. Only a small hardcore actually believe in their racial purity crap - and that is part of their policies they try to play down.

Fact - people are worried about crime. Fact - people want criminals cracked down on hard. Fact - there is a perception, whether right or wrong, that the criminals are favoured over the law abiding public.

Fact - people do not want uncontrolled immigration. People do not want multiculturalism rammed down their throats, that was never voted for, the public were never asked their opinions on that, and people feel agrieved when parts of cities are turned into ghettos.

People in the UK (England especially) are naturally welcome, and mostly couldn't give a stuff if their neighbours are black, white, purple etc, they don't care and get on with every religion. They don't suffer fools gladly though, and are not happy about demands for preferential treatment. They absolutely do not want people kicked out because they are different - just the preachers of hate and criminals - who give everyone a bad name.

These are not unreasonable demands of politicians - keep the peace, treat the criminals justly, and only allow in people who love the country and want to live here and get on with us all together.

The main parties though will not listen. They arrogantly denounce any attempt at debate on immigration as "racist racist racist". They denounce complaints about crime as "bar room politics".

The BNP are in the main people from the estates and cities. They know exactly what people are thinking, and are thus able to tap into that.

They don't talk about "sending the wogs back", they talk about kicking out the haters, they talk about getting tough on crime, they talk about stopping closing old people's homes - they are very clever this way.

So the frightened pensioners, cowering behind their curtains, getting told to just call the police yet-a-f***ing-gain whilst youths are throwing rocks at their windows, and wrecking the neighbourhood - and nothing is ever ever done, and the labour councillor, safely in his big house in a leafy suburb many miles away tells them to pity the criminal. They in despair vote BNP - the only party which is saying the things they desperately want to hear.
They are normal voters, law abiding, they just want to be heard and not denounced.

Want to know why the BNP has risen - it's the fault of the Labour government, it's the fault of the Tory opposition for not shouting down Labour screaming "racist" and having an adult debate on the subjects that matter. Before they came to power in 1997 and allowed immigration to get out of control, the BNP were a laughable bunch of crazies with no hope of ever getting elected - now they are getting their best results ever.

It's the liberal elite's fault, they have created this monster - and they now wring their hands and despair.Your fault you d***heads, you have to sort it out or it's last one out the country turn off the lights if these fascists ever get a sniff of power.

Well said, and as true of Australia as Britain. There is no equivalent party here, but the effect you describe is slowly occurring here too. We've had brief flashes from individuals, but the general populace here is inherently too laid-back politically to really get involved, we're going to need some more riots to get them off their couches.
Don't get me wrong, I see such nazi's as the scum of politics, but they DO say things other people feel aren't being said by their supposed representatives. <<< Marcus sextus

I find those comments interesting coming from an Australian.

I can't help wondering what sort of racial agenda an Australian equivalent of the BNP (ANP...?) would have. After all, Australia was colonised by the British and even used as a penal colony. I couldn't put a figure on it (perhaps Marcus can enlighten us), but I assume that the vast, huge, overwhelming majority of the "Australian" public are of Western European descent.

The real Australians go under the quaint name of "Aborigines".

What would an ANP vote for..? Expelling themselves and giving the country back to the Aborigines..? Seems rather self defeating to me.

Unless, of course, they are against other Polynesian races, or Orientals or Asians moving to Australia. Refugees from East Timor spring to mind. In this case, the matter would not be one of anti-immigration, but rather anti-race.

Only yesterday, the Australian Prime Minister delivered a humble apology for the exploitation of tens of thousands of British children, from poor or disadvantaged backgrounds, who were deported to Australia between 1947 and the late 1960's to (as was reported on the BBC) "Provide good white stock for the future of Australia".

Good white stock..!! What sort of comment is that..?

Those children were horribly exploited, some were physically or sexually abused as children and they suffered the terrible psychological torture of not knowing who their families were or where they came from. Yesterday, the Australian Prime Minister delivered an apology for the awful crime perpetrated against these naturalised Australians when they were children.

But would an ANP want them deported..? Surely they are not "indiginous" Australians..... Not even by the extenuating circumstances as other Australians of perhaps nine or ten generations.

I am intrigued, Marcus, by your comments that there is racial unrest within Australia, and that this could give rise to an ultra-nationalist political party, when that party would be made up of the descendants of.........

Immigrants.
