I'll bet everyone who supports marijuana being legalized is a stoner.

Point out a quote from me when I said that all weed smokers are potheads.

Sorry didn't mean to imply you did.

Was just using your statement as a jump off point for those to see that do think that way.

And what about the people who want to enjoy it recreationally?

Marijuana is not addictive like tobacco. Not by a long shot.

If tobacco could be effectively banned without generating a black market and perpetuating its circulation, then it would be feasible to sell cannabis to people with the expectation that they will smoke it on its own for recreational purposes. However, people are always going to mix cannabis with tobacco if they can simply because it is less expensive and less harsh on the lungs; smoking pure cannabis requires a bong or hookah since it burns very hot. A joint is more convenient, less technical, is less harsh and tastes better... not that I know from experience or anything.

When no one is addicted to nicotine anymore, then tobacco can be banned. When tobacco is no longer available, then cannabis can be commercialised.

It doesn't "require" it, but it definitely makes it less harsh than a glass pipe or a joint.

Maybe 'preferred' would be a more appropriate word than 'required'. At least in Europe, joints are always rolled with tobacco.

Definitely not the case over here. At least in my limited experience knowing people who do partake, the preferred methods are tobacco-less joints and small glass pipes, again without tobacco.

I know several people who don't smoke tobacco period but smoke cannabis, which actually makes sense because tobacco is highly addicting. The people I know who do mix in tobacco usually do so for economic purposes and not efficacy ones.

Seriously? There are people that do that? Why would anyone want to ruin pot with tobacco? Maybe things have changed in the 18 years since my last official puff, but I have never heard of mixing tobacco with pot. If someone handed me a joint with tobacco in it I'd be pissed. Has it gotten that bad? Has the younger generation become so effete that they can't even do their drugs full strength? What's next, resin free dope?

The cannabis in Europe is alot stronger, I believe. Its known as "skunk". If you smoked a spliff with just skunk in it, you'd be trollied, instantly.

Yes, we have skunk here, I didn't understand the rest of your sentence. but I have, in my previous life, partaken of some very sticky, very strong stuff, the likes of which one hit would be enough to produce that wonderful lightness of being and intense interest in well whatever caught your attention and make it seem very funny, stuff that for all intents and purposes would put you just this side of conciousness, so we would just smoke less of it. Ah the good old days.

I do have to admit that my knowledge is pretty old, and that I know many great advances have been made, but I have a hard time believing that europe would somehow have better weed that we could not get here in the colonies in this great cosmopolitan age.

It is very strong apparently, I'm just going on what I've been told. I don't smoke it myself, it doesn't agree with me. Trollied is UK slang for really smashed or stoned.

Hah! BC buds are BOMB! I don't smoke any more, but when I did I could get some of the strongest stuff around. It's all about who you know... Also, in california they grow the stuff legally (though not federally legal.) Which is where the majority of the good stuff we get comes from.

I wouldn't make a statement like that unless you've been to the states and smoked the good bud : /
