See the nice thing about this internet thing... is you can just walk away, and not keep reading about stuff or people that you find offensive.

granted its not always easy, but it can be done.

I'm all for awareness of bad things in the world, but this like many other tasteless bad jokes, I think are just better walked away from rather than shared. Even if it to say "look how bad this is"

in person I'd probably just hand it back to the person and say that is tasteless and walk away, I've done that when other "tasteless jokes" have been told.

I can't control that they are told, but I can control my exposure to them.

Going back on this thread.

I feel that stating I laughed has nothing to do with my sensitivity or how much of a heart I have.

It really depends on the situation, I can respect those who are effected by this, and I can respect those who died & lost loved ones, f*** I've cried about it.

but that doesn't mean I can't laugh about it.

There are horrible things I have had to deal with in my life, and then I usually laugh about those very topics with other people.

There is no point in getting all upset, laugh, let it roll off you, move on.

I can see this is obviously in bad taste, would I broadcast it or show it to anyone, DUH, no!
EDIT: Well I would if I was for sure their panties wouldn't get in a bunch.

It's really bad that I laughed, I know, but I have got a terrible messed up sense of humour.

Yea, having a dark sense of humor doesn't make you a horrible person. Sometimes you just find things funny in the moment. I smiled when I first got it.. would I ever look at it or show it to anyone else? probably not, maybe my husband, but no one else.

But really Stigma, people are retarded. Everyone is different. They think just because they are one way everyone else should be that way too. Lame!
