The Bush administration is good for something..

They had the balls to say this:

(this is a quote from a letter that Condaleeaza Rice sent to the UK Foreign Minister Jack Straw who was acting as the EU President at the World Summit in Tunis):

"Burdensome, bureaucratic oversight is out of place in an Internet structure that has worked so well for many around the globe. We regret the recent positions on Internet governance(i.e., the "new cooperation model" ) offered by the European Union, the Presidency of which is currently held by the United Kingdom, seems to propose just that - a new structure of intergovernmental control over the Internet."

The matter, which was being touted by various non-US governments, was quietly dropped and never brought up again during the summit.

but please remember its Condaleeaza Rice who wrote the letter so it doesnt reflect at all on the Bush adminstration cos she's a good person.
apart from that... I cant say they did any good they just kept change from appearing for another term?

Actually she just cosigned it. The Secretary of Commerce appears to have been the original writer, but who knows.

This might start a flame war, but I doubt if any Democratic administration officials would be able to get away with language that strong.

BTW, the "Bush Administration" consists of the President, his staff, and all of his appointees, such as the Cabinet... this includes Secretary of State Rice, Secretary of Commerce Guiterrez, etc.

try one of their aids or secreteries.
