How to get rid of those annoying cold calls

I just had yet another marketing call. We get about five a day.
I was just about to fob him off and get back to work (idle internet surfing) when he told me how to get rid of these calls. Weird, since it's his JOB to make these annoying calls.

If you register with The TPS (The Telephone Preference Service) they will remove your number from marketing companies' databases usually within 28 days. You can do it online and it takes about 2 minutes.

when i first got my telephone line back i told them no sales calls under any circumstances NONE!

3 hours later i get someone from the company above, however i am innebriated and do not understand the nature of the call!

I told her how dare she telephone me on a friday night, and never, ever call me again EVER!

So they kinda left me alone!

I hate the phone anyway!!!

The cheeky sods always find a way to track you down. But I trust TPS...

We did this with TPS but still get annoying calls

" hi this is Melanie, YOU HAVE WON....." they dont get no further

Yeah, I seriously doubt they'll completely eliminate cold calls but it's got to be better than the five-a-day we get at the moment, right?

its an iced coffee ad or something

But i dont get ANY? I think they all have my name as DONT CALL - EXTREMELY ABUSIVE!
