Automated phone service making you nuts- tips as to how to get through.

1. Press everything on your phone, you may be able to trick the system into thinking you have a rotary phone.

2. Mumble- if they can't understand you they have to put on a live person.

3.Speak nonsense- same as # 2

4.Do nothing- they sense a rotary phone, you get a human.

5.Request the Spanish operator- the line is usually shorter and you'll get a bilingual operator.

6.Select the cancel service option- if they think they're losing business, somebody comes to the phone.

7. Mention a competitor- they hate that.

8. Plan ahead- avoid Monday and plan to call on off hours.

I left one out, anybody know what it is?

Usually pressing zero (0) gets you to a real person. If not, then pressing the number 1 repeatedly works. If not, then staying through the entire phone tree is your best bet.

That's true, tried them. There's still another one.

Singing works but then when you keep singing to the actual person the tend to hang up anyway Ive learnt.

I said I left one out, since nobody got it I'll dish. I do not promote this but swearing tends to move you to the front of the line. Since you're probably angry already, have at it.
