I really felt the need for a boyfriend after my last lengthy relantionship ended, but after I came to my senses, i realized I was perfectly fine on my own. Sex is good, and I enjoy the companionship it brings, but I have that all without a boyfriend, so I suppose when a boy comes along he does, no worring anymore over it.

I can honestly say that I have no idea why anybody would have the NEED to be with somebody. I am just as happy when I am single as to when I am in a relationship. I do not need a partner to validate my existance.

Maybe its insecurity, low self esteem or something. Maybe they don't get enough emotional affection from their friends or family, I have no idea.

I'm perfectly fine being single. I don't need a guy to make me whole, to make me feel complete and happy. I'm just fine at doing that by myself. And when the time comes and I do get a boyfriend, it won't be because I need validation of my happiness. I think some girls get the idea in their head that they have to have a boyfriend or they'll be labeled as a freak or a loser or something. And that's not a good reason to get into a relationship.

To share life in an intimate way. Not just sex, but to invest your emotions in somebody. Have a common interconnected life with him where the both of you are working for the same thing. A source of strength when you need it. a sense of security.

Or somebody to b**** at for not taking out the garbage.

At what age do you "need a boyfriend"? NEVER, even if you want someone for your future, its hard to find them if youre running around looking everywhere. I think that scares guys away.
