Sorry to hear that. At this point, I think the doctors & scientists still have it under control though. Fingers crossed.

You are much more likely to die from the common flu.

The percentage of deaths in swine flu is insanely low. I think 0.04% of all who contracts swine flu dies. It's a pandemic, but it won't kill us all

I'm not worried really. It's taken up until this week for work (the NHS) to send me a letter to say I may have to be removed from a clinical setting into a clerical setting because of being pregnant and being considered high risk.

We've had swine flu in our trust for agesssssssssssss

1000s of people die every year from regular flu, so I'm not going to bother worrying about this.

Its annoys me the f***ing news they never release the actual reasons these people died and then blame it on swine flu!

?This case tragically underlines that, although the virus is proving generally mild in most people, it is more severe in some cases. As with all flu-like viruses, some people are at higher risk than others. Unfortunately, people who are otherwise healthy could also become seriously ill or die.?

Well this is the first case that someone hasn't had underlying health issues so initially blaming it on swine flu is a pretty logical thing to do.

Swine Flu is so overblown it's unreal. So we've had ONE healthy person die, how is it any worse than any other strain of influenza?

Sounds like everyone is saying that we really need to come up with a more effective flu.

How about one that is lethal every time, but only infects stupid people? Like the ones that come up and push the elevator button after it's already been pushed, or the ones that ride an escalator to the top, step off, and stop.
