FORT MYERS: Lee deputies arrested the parents of three children and charged them with Child Neglect.
On July 4th, deputies arrested Malcolm Mitchell, 40, and Erin Stevens, 48, after they say the couple left their three children, all under the age of 10, at a Walgreens.
A deputy was called to take the kids back to their home.
Investigators from the Department of Children and Family Services arrived a short time later and and reports indicate those officials found the children were living in dangerous conditions.
According to those reports, the children were also ridden with lice.
The couple said they were asleep when the children left the house.
They were both arrested and charged.
