Michael Jackson: In your opinion, is he guilty of child molestation?

Michael Jackson was innocent! Good people dont go around screwin around with kids, Michael Jackson was obveously a great man. His kids loved him, too. Did you see Paris almost break down on stage at his memorial after she said how great of a father he was and how much he loved him?

Whether MJ was guilty or inocent is something that we do not know for sure.

Childrens love for their parents is mostly unconditional

Dont many prisoners, murderers, perverts or whoever else have kids that think they are the best parents and love them very much?

Because people have kids that love them as most do, it does not mean that their parents are saints...except in their eyes.

In the Uk if your parents are drug addicts, no matter how much they love their children, they would not be regarded as suitable parents and would be taken into local authority care by the childrens services.

People can be extremely talented but that dosent mean that they are above the law or should be even allowed to pay people off to keep quiet. Many celebrities have been convicted of being perverts, or other crimes.
They also seem to get away with much more than the average man on the street, because of money or fame.
At the end of the day they are human like the rest of us and not the perfect people some like to portray themselves as.

George Michael has fame, money, but that dosent stop him with his perverted ways of getting his sexual kicks, such as hanging around public toilets looking for strangers to have sex with, or in parks where kids play.
He has urges to do these things knowing that it can reck his career,
but that urge is stronger and its not stopped him.
That is just one example.
George has also done alot for charity etc but he still has his flaws, some serious that the rest of us would be locked up for.
Even so, im sure George has a family that loves him.

That's true - and that's why MJ was charged and in court at criminal law, even though money had already been paid. You can't make a criminal charge go away no matter how much money you have once the police have suspicion a criminal act has been committed. The jury decide whether or not you are guilty based on the evidence they have.

The payments MJ made could not stop key witnesses testifying. As it was, the testimonies from others was damning enough, but the key witness refused to testify in the end. End of story.

You could argue he bought their silence but the fact is they could have testified anyway and still kept the money. Had a true crime been committed, most families would have refused the cash and taken that option. The whole thing stinks to high heaven.

Probably not. MJ didn't just mail out boxes of cash to people hoping to convince them not to pursue legal action or whatever. The payments were part of binding out-of-court settlements.

I don't think he molested those children at all. He was caring and loving towards his kids. He always helped the sick and less unfortunate. I think them boys who he was accused of molesting him only said it to get money out of him.

There are clauses attached to civil out of court settlements that are legal and binding which the powerful and rich use to shut people up!
Chandler was able to describe MJ,s genitals.
MJ had a strip search for 25minutes by police and simularities were found including Jordy,s claim that Michael had Virtiglio patches on his private parts in certain areas.
The settlement was paid only weeks after Jordy made a sworn declaration...
There was obviously substantial evidence againt him that wasnt looking at all good, for him to risk going broke to make the payment of 22 million.

I'd heard about Chandler's description of MJ's genitals too but understood he did not describe them accurately enough for the court.

I'd like to try and understand something - are these payments binding only for civil cases?

Surely they cannot prevent someone from testifying in criminal court?

MJ voluntarily subjected himself to the examination, and the results were resoundingly inconclusive at best.

One little detail you may find interesting is that the boy claimed that Michael Jackson was circumcised.

Well, he's not.



This is the same boy who "admitted" to being molested while under a controversial sedative administered by his father - a father who had hired the "nastiest" lawyer he could find in order to "destroy" MJ two weeks before his son claimed he was molested, and who went straight to MJ with a prepared $20 million settlement but didn't file charges.

Anyone who thinks that Michael Jackson molested Jordan Chandler either doesn't know the whole story or is a blithering idiot.
