USA Today reports that a recent poll among Republicans shows that Rush Limbaugh has emerged as the forerunner in the Republican Party and that Sarah Palin still energizes the base.

Most Americans would probably enjoy a Limbaugh/Palin ticket in 2012 -the Democrats because they think they could easily beat this comical pair and the Republicans because they relate to cocaine head commentary and the new dress style created by Palin - called the trashy business look.

Come on now..
Those 2 running for office? It has to be a joke.
They might as well run Bevis and Butthead.

There are republicans that they could run who are human beings, and stand for real issues with intelligence and compassion. Those 2 are not them.

It's still fun to watch.

Yeah, that's just what the GOP needs to refurbish their image.

It's 3 years away, why worry about it now? That's plenty of time for an unknown to emerge out of obscurity (like Obama did), or a past favorite to come back strong, or even for Palin to mature as a politician. Don't worry though. When the election season finaly DOES come, we'll get PLENTY of mudslinging, insults, propaganda, us-vs-them idiocy, and ridiculus strawmen arguements to last us for years. I'm getting depressed just THINKING of it. For the love of God, why are we making ourselves suffer by talking about 2012 now?

Most are not worried about it or suffering about it. They can laugh about it. Last week Saturday Night Live gave tribute to America's great comedy teams. They named Martin & Lewis, Cheech & Chong, and McCain & Palin in the top three. Don't paint all politics with your broad brush of depression or look for strawmen under your bed every night. Relax and enjoy it.
