I had a couple friends in high school that were both preppy. They were neither slutty nor stupid. Extremely bubbly personalities and did use "like" a lot..well one of them did anyways. Never once were they unkind to me or anyone that I know nor did they ever act as though they were in a clique regardless of what there friends around them said or did.

Just because someone is a preppy isn't sufficient grounds to damn them.

Incorrect. It is a subculture associated with a specific style and attitude. It has nothing to do with sexual activity or sex in general.

It's what we call those kids that wear only name brand clothes, are superficial, totally into themselves and their appearance, and are still somehow the most popular.

It's a term based on the cliche prep school chick or cheerleader.
