I'm curious as to everyones opinion conserning the US Military.
I, personally, find it to be the most honorable and respectable occupation there is.
I am also currently talking to a recruiter... considering joining.
There are also people with completely opposite opinions from my own.
I have heard people go on rants, saying they are murderers and are terrible people.
What's your opinion?

You are entitled to your opinions on it. Many people will disagree with you.
I happen to be In the Marines and Love it.
I also know that this job is not for everyone.
be weary of recruiters
they tend to twist and embellish or rather glamorize the truth to get you to sign on the dotted line,

what exactly are you planning on doing?>
what service?
what type of job do you want to do?

I like my job. Haven't killed anyone, and i'm pretty sure in my branch we won't ever have to. I do however respect the fellas in the branches that do. They're not really fighting to kill an enemy, they're fighting to defend their comrades.

Look into the Army's Vet Occupation.

they deal with training Dog's amongst other things. you get to study in that field. also if you're lucky enough you get sent abroad and help take care of Military k-9's

I mean that's a job you can do and get something out of once you get out.

Unless you want to go the Police route. in that case go to the MP course.

There are good and bad people in the military just like anywhere else.

I know quite a few Marines and as resilient as they are in both mind and body are some of the finest men and women among us.

Interesting group to be around.

I started looking into the Vet route originally, but started reading about MP and found it quite interesting and realized it seemed like something I would enjoy. And I don't like all animals... just dogs, really, so I'm not sure I would make the greatest Vet

I didn't even know until recently that my mom was an MP when she was in the Army, way back when.
I told her that I was looking into joining and she told me she had been an MP.
She finally decided to tell me some great stories...
Well, I think they are great...
I'm sure, once again, there are many people who would disagree.
