Our yard is in drastic need of cutting. We hope to resolve that issue this weekend. But in the meantime, we had a couple people come to the door and offer to cut our grass. We have a moderate size yard and a few years ago we've had it done a couple diferent times for $15 or $20 charge for a once a week cut. The last
person who came to the door wanted to charge $70.00 for a one time
cut. That'd be $140 for twice a week. I think that's crazy.
We're not paying that, that's for sure.

$70 for each time, not less for the 2nd and later times at
all. I was a lady personified - I merely told him:
"$70? Are you out of ya friggin' mind? Geez, I think
I/we need to go into the yard cuttin' business ourselves!"

I could see the $70.00 charge if it included other work around the house with multiple workers, grass cutting, fertilizing, edging, weed pulling, laying down that wood crap, watering.....basically taking care of some Hollywood Socialite who has nothing better to do with their money

I am almost that desperate to pay that kind of money, if they do a really good job of it and weed-wack all around also. I think I will be paying close to that for the first time, if I ever find someone to do it for me.

The $15 seems reasonable for once a week

Buy a lawnmower and do it yourselves and save a lot of money in the process.
