this woman allowed her baby child to be beaten and killed, when he needed her to love and protect him, and trusted her completely to do so... he was so innocent that he still held her blameless, and probably still went to her hoping she would kiss him and fix his booboos... she had better get more than the 5 years...

and she had damn well better be suffering right now...

I'm pretty sure that other European countries do indefinate sentences as well. It's more to protect the public and it's only meant to be used on criminals who may pose a significant threat if released.

that wasnt my point. why do they go to all the bother of saying you must know your sentance then skirt around the issue when it suites them, it isnt fair! some one should take a case to strasburg (the uk is bound to follow their decisions so if they say it isnt allowed then it isnt allowed)
