Happy Mother's Day to all Moms, or if you're not one, then to 'your' Mom

After getting my gift n card, I went to Starbucks & then to the batting cages. Over the years, I received all kinds of gifts: perfumes, flowers, jewelry, etc. My favorites were always the gifts that the kids made for me at school. My mother always askd for things like appliances for Mother's Day. One year she askd for a microwave, so I got her that. One years she ask for a bagless vacuum, so I got her that. I know those r not the best gifts to give for Mother's Day, but she always got wut she askd for. Sometimes I'd throw in flowers or a plant or somethin.

I'm not a mom yet. The best gift I've ever given to my mama was a chocolate diamond necklace that cost about a thousand dollars. I saved money two years earlier to buy her something. It was worth it, that was 5 years ago. She still wears it. I love my mama!

1) What's your plans for Mother's Day? My youngest son came home for the weekend and my oldest son came over with my grand kids and his wife, we had a yard burn and a great visit.
2) What's the best gift you've ever received on Mother's Day? my sons help me out all year around so some of the best 'gifts' I've received wasn't anywhere close to the day in May that we call Mothers day.

1. Plans for Mom's Day: church, out to eat, home with family. Eldest son spent day with babies' mommy and her family. Now watching NBA playoffs with family. Go Celtics.
2. Best gift received on Mom's day: crayon-colored cards
that the kids made for Mother's Day while they were in grade school. I still have most of them.
3. Best gift given: Mother's Day ring for my Mom -- too
many stones to mention.
****WHOOHOO, what a game, even as I am typing, Boston is winning by 1 point, 11 seconds left. No wait, Orlando gets a free throw, makes both, Orlando ahead by 1 point, 11 second left. Boston got the ball back, yes, Glen Davis made a basket at the buzzer. YES! Celtics win.

My son didn't call me. My birthday was on the 5th. He didn't call me then, but he had a good excuse. He said he sent me a text for Mother's Day. I didn't get it. He said he'd call today and hasn't. It's sad for me because he and I have a good relationship. I never forget my mother.
