I was once told that there are 7 perfect matches for each individual in this world.

So for you, there are 7 people out of this whole world who will be your perfect match. (7 out of approx. 6 000 000 000)

By this theory when I think about it, I think my matches are frozen in Antarctica...perhaps one is in the Sahara desert...etc etc.

Hmmm...which means that there is a very very very small percentage that I will meet one of those 7 perfect matches. Oh lovely.

What do you think?

I think that sucks for you. I've met 2 of mine.

why do the matches have to be in different parts of the world... maybe they are all in the city closest to you.

That's very true. There's no theory of how spread apart the couple are.

Interesting thought...,
If you go by statistical chance, then yes, one's odds at meeting those 7 matches are pretty slim.
But, as I see it, that isn't quite how the world works, it seems to me that it operates on more of a system of random chance which actually increases your odds to well within the realm of possibility.

That's an interesting insight.

I had my perfect match. It was spectacular.
Now I'm looking for my next perfect match, so I can experience a different version of spectacular.

It took me 19 years to realize that my second perfect match wouldn't make me feel like my first did.. I wonder how many I missed out on because I thought it would feel the same?

I think if there are only seven perfect matches for me I'm pretty screwed, I guess I'd have to settle for an almost-perfect match... who knows though, maybe I've already met one of my seven and don't yet know it
