I have an IBM ThinkPad and it has been running as slow as molasses.
It's driving me crazy. Is there anything I can do to speed things up???

Don't keep it on for a long time. Try turning it off for a few minutes and then turning it back on because whenever a computer is on, it builds up waste and takes up space that then makes your PC slow. If that doesn't work, defragment and clean up your disk. If it's still slow (and you're sure your computer is up to date with technology (as in not 10 years old)), then check if you have spyware. Download Windows Defender and scan your PC. If it's STILL slow, save up all your important stuff on CD's and format that thing!

If it is your internet that is slowing down, it is a good idea to flush your temporary files folder occasionally.
