Turnips are bad!

Weird thing is, as a kid I liked them.
Now I find them way too bitter as an adult.
I would have thought it the other way around.

Here's a great way to eat your turnips for dessert.

Turnip Pie

Ingredients:

1 c cooked and mashed turnips
1/2 - 3/4 c sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
3 eggs, beaten
1 T flour
1 - 1/2 c milk
1 unbaked 9" pie shell

Directions:

Combine turnips, sugar and spices. Add eggs, flour and milk. Pour into shell. Bake at 400? until knife comes out clean. Top with whipped cream.

You guys have issues. If you don't like the turnips, leave them alone and they won't bother you

I've never eaten a turnip... I didn't realize they were that evil....

I left them alone my whole life. But look at what they did to my teddy bear. They killed him... THEY FRIGGIN KILLED HIM!!!!

Well they certainly aren't evil like cantaloupe.

I like turnips, and their cousin the rutabaga, that's the yellow one. Love them mashed with carrots, butter and S&P.
