Ed, Edd and Eddy made the list, but not "A League of Their Own" .

Hrm.... although most of that list is pretty decent. I agree that Shawshank was brilliant. In fact, that was filmed in the Mansfield Reformatory that I mentioned in you scary story thread.

I have to contest Rainman though, not because it wasn't a wonderful movie *love it* but because it was about brothers, not friends. Eh, no big I guess.

"Fried Green Tomatoes" and "Now and Then" are wonderful...

I am suprised that "Stand by Me" did not make it on the list.

I'd have to add "Swingers" to that list.
"The Lord of the Rings" saga has the strongest bonds of friendship that carries throughout the story.
"O Brother, Where Art Thou?" is a Coen film (I'm biased there) and is always enjoyable.
There's got to be some more older classic movies though I'm not thinking of right now. I'll probably post again when I think of some of them. But you've got a good list there.

Specifically about friendship, there are quite a few movies that come to mind for me. You've named heaps readsalot, some that I've not seen.

Terms of Endearment..

I know they were Mother and Daughter, but they were best of friends...

Thelma and Louise: were real good friends..
Sleepers: was another about real, real good friends that help each other out no matter the cost..

And it's too darn early to think of any more....
