Arabic Art

We went to a Art Gallery displaying art from the arab world, it was beautiful, we bought some paintings for the house.

I like the weird sculptures in the Emirates.

Hi treebee never been but ive seen some of the sculptures on tv, am planning on going to morroco or turkey this year, they too have some beautiful art gallery's

No i havent been either, i saw them on Michael Palin beleive it or not before that i didnt even know about them. But i do think they are awesome.

I very much love the morrocon blue, you can buy the pigment when you are out there, also the tapestries and rugs. If i had my way i would do my bedroom up with the north african theme

Ive got new bedroom all dark reds and oranges, it looks amazing, ive bought some art work for the walls and am looking for some rugs.

oh you know, morocco, egypt all that sort of art. Pottery and those funny brass pipes

Some of the wall hangings are beautiful. I have some from Egypt dating back to the 1950s when my Pa had gone there. The more modern ones have more color.
As for middle east paintings I still prefer the traditional style.
