I think that carbon dioxide could be used to harvest geothermal energy. Some bacteria that live in volcanoes need carbon dioxide to grow. They probably grow faster than ordinary bacteria, so they should be able to convert the carbon dioxide to hydrocarbons faster.

There may be more Helium 3 on the moon however there is not thought to be that much more. If you really want some helium 3 go say hi to Jupiter.

Some folks think that Moon has a large supply of Helium-3 .
