The Mist or 1408. Unsurprisingly, they are both based off of Stephen King short stories of the same name. I am an avid Stephen King reader, so naturally I am drawn to these movies.

@young_nick Said

Try The Descent.
Genius.

I wouldn't say genius, but a pretty decent movie all-around. Try one of the classics, like Nosferatu, Friday the Thirteenth, or Nightmare on Elm Street. A lot of people say that Halloween was scary, but I didn't really find it so.

Silence of the Lambs-Pretty good, it wasn't as scary as it was disturbing, though...
The Changeling-This one was pretty good, I couldn't sleep for a night but I recommend it
The Exorcist-Took a while to get interesting and really wasn't that frightening, but still worth the watch...

Halloween! I was so surprised how it wasn't based on a real murder, wouldn't you think it was based off of something?
