Bass guitar help

I have recently started learning to play bass guitar, but havent been able to get things up to speed with some things.

Are there any finger exercises you could suggest I could do to get things working at the right speed?

Also could you find any websites for me where I can access free tabs for the bass?

one of the best things i have found is to lean, is a few scales..take your time when you start do one note at a time.
