Yes, but it leaves a funny after-taste! You have to wash that away with a good stiff drink.

According to Gammaray, it is very common to find this sort of correspondence for sale at various flea-markets in Germany. It must be a reflection of just how little the younger generations value the memories and mementos of those who went through that particular hell in WWII. Rather than hang on to such things for sentimental reasons, they would rather turn it for a profit, no matter how great or small... Next time you are in Germany, you could pick up a few more, and,....maybe,...learn to read some German!

.... and i thought i found a rare collectors item.

Its very common to find items from WW2 here in Australia but the German stuff is a little more sort after as it can be a hard to find.......... here.

A trip to Germany sounds like it could be on the cards in the near future and ill remember to take along my (not so) trusty translation book to help with my German.

As a new member, I think there may be a small delay before this site 'grants' you the privilege of posting pictures. If you can simply include the web-address/link in a PM, and drop the < htpp://www. > I can locate it myself, and may be able to lend you a hand.

Ich habe keine Liebe f?r dich! That's how I'd spell it!

What are you going on about, roots? Well, evidence of the Anglo-Saxon traditions are to be found all over England... But you can find the Northerner's were also in France.

What's all this got to do with a Top Secret Translation, anyway?
