should i get a hip surface piercing?!

so, i had to take my belly button ring out temporarily and i just discovered this piercing that i really like! it's a hip surface piercing.. i have pictures on my profile. just wondering.

i kinda like the belly button ring... why did you have to take it out?

i've had it since i was 15, and during my junior soccer season it ripped out.. so i got it re-pierced last year, and he pierced it through my scar tissue, so my body was pushing it out. so i just took it out. what do you think about the hip surface piercing though? i have NO idea how to post photos on these things..haha

i have heard of women having them in the small of the back. i have never seen a hip piercing before.. is it really on the side of your hip or kinda in front or back?

i want mine done lower as well. im gonna do it this summer i think...just because i can wear low cut shorts or bathing suit everywhere so that they have time to heal before i wear jeans that rub against them.

You can get it done but I've heard that I fast majority of them migrate within a year, so I would say it's not worth it, and they leave a big scar too, I know someone that had two.

yea surface piercings hurt more then regular piercings do....and yes some do migrate but not always. there have been some that have healed up right. it depends on the type of jewelry you use...surgical steel tends to migrate faster. there is a specific type that works great for surface piercings...i just for get what its called...lol

Good luck to not ripping it on your clothes, rejecting etc.

Some places are just not designed to being peirced.

I had my clavicles pierced, and my nape. I had my septum done, the monroe piercing, and the snake bites (2 piercings at each side) The piercing that hurt the most was the septum. Surface piercings arent that bad, I say go for it! I was never into the whole belly button thing, I just didnt find it flattering.

i had my hips pierced it didnt hurt to bad and they looke dreally cool i miss them , idk why i took them out =[ i want to get them repierced tho but im wondering tif it will hurt more threw scar tissue? so idk but deff get them done they look so cool and rarely anyone ever had them. :D
