No, not at all, lol. My sites are all run on PHP, but I always use open source software, so I don't know much at all about php or databases. The software I use has always taken care of the databases for me, it's all programmed in. As far as databases, all I know about is how to use phpMyAdmin minimally to be able to create a database and a user and assign a user to a database. The software creates all the database tables and inserts the data into them and all that, it's very much hands off, and I prefer it that way. I've also created a back up of a database a couple times in order to move a site to a different server, but that's really the extent of it.
