Working from home

Does anyone do this? If so, what do you do, and how did you hear about it in the beginning?

Also, has anyone heard of Work at Home United?

I do. I have a couple websites, and I also do all the administrative work for my husband's business.

I have worked from home.. and man it is boring..

So I'm guessing you have database admin training (or are a programmer)?

No, not at all, lol. My sites are all run on PHP, but I always use open source software, so I don't know much at all about php or databases. The software I use has always taken care of the databases for me, it's all programmed in. As far as databases, all I know about is how to use phpMyAdmin minimally to be able to create a database and a user and assign a user to a database. The software creates all the database tables and inserts the data into them and all that, it's very much hands off, and I prefer it that way. I've also created a back up of a database a couple times in order to move a site to a different server, but that's really the extent of it.

Yep was self employed for 6 or so years & a lot of that involved working from home. Don't get me wrong being my own boss definitely had it's plusses, but there were days where I wouldn't see another soul all day & that can be pretty depressing after a while.

I have found a site that pays a penny per ad view, but you have to get referrals to make decent amount

Working at home is cool, especially if your single, you can take naps anytime.

I had my son on the 13 september, and I had previously been looking to work at home.
I finally found a way i could type from home and I process orders!
It mnakes me ?30 for every one i do, and i love it!
I can get away with doing an hour a day, and i make more than when i was full time!

I do but I don't make much money on it yet. I hope to eventually expand on my little business.
What I do:

* Have large websites with ads
* Freelance illustration and multimedia

I do. I am not sure about the forum rules regarding plugging another site on the forum. THat is where I get a lot of my job leads.

Basically wahj come in 2 varieties: one is working for a company or entity as an employee or independent contractor and the other is being self-employed as a business owner (think Avon). The latter are the only types of wahj that should cost you any out of pocket expenses.
