Intrinsically repugnant or just a sign of the times?

I don't really see it as any worse than puting pesticides and chemicals all over vegetables...and thousands of vegetarians eat those every day. (Well, some do.) No matter what you do, the world is getting greedier and greedier, and no matter which way you turn, or what you stop eating, you are never going to be able to get away from stuff like this.
