My friend has learned to develop his own film, he's got the awesome cameras and everything, full blown photographer in a matter of a year, I'm still goofing around with a plain digital camera, but it's fun. I was looking at some of the more expensive digi cams and I was wondering what you prefer...

Hmm well I don't really know about it from an artistic standpoint. I guess you can do different things with each one. But I reallllly want a digital camera. Hopefully someone knows more about it than I do.

I suppose developing your own pictures is cool, but in my case i use to drop them in to get done, but now with my digital cam,i dont have to wait just plug it in and print,as easy as that and without the wait.So i'd go with digital

I love doing photography and using the good ol' darkroom. But then again I haven't used digital cameras that much except for just snapshots. It just seems like there's more artistic control using regular cameras.

you can get digital cameras to do the same job as the old ones, but i think it's just the satisfaction from developing them yourself, which would be cool and the antisipation of waiting on photos from the lab,to see how they turned out, which is what i miss, now you see instantly what picture you've just taking

The darkroom is fun, but time consuming.

So is the digital darkroom.

I love playing with a camera and I always use digital because it's cheaper in the long run and much more convenient

digital, I always tend to lose rolls of film before taking them to be developed...

jessica_lizette is so right. The artistic connection is gone when you switch to Digital. There's a real connection between the photographer and the photos when using a regular 35mm.

I use both, but when I have a choice(aka film and money) I use the 35mm.

Both have endless possibilities.

I like the dark room an developing your own stuff but sometimes you want the pictures now and that, so i just stick with my digital camera so i can just put them on a disk and get them printed some where , but i would not go for a digital camera with less then 4mp or else the picture quality starts to get a bit inperfect below that

Both offer their own perks, but I'd have to say digital. I've worked for a
darkroom for about 5 years now, and though you appreciate you're pictures a
little more, it's very tedious and takes a long time to get the image the way
you want.
