The Arizona Diamondback are in competition for a division title and Cincinnati isn't really. If Cincinnati Red fans that think Cincinnati would have a chance for a playoff spot, I'd like to hear the real reason why they peddled Ken Griffey Jr. off to the Chicago White Sox. Well the White Sox are in first place in their division with hope for another World Series. You may notice that the Cubs are in playoff contention and whether they get into the World Series is another matter. It sound familiar the the Cubs haven't won a National League title since 1945 and the billy goat curse. Hey! we're in a new century anyway and I wonder if that Billy Goat curse meant to be forever? The Bambino curse wasn't but just for the rest of the 20th century I guess.
Arizona must thing Adam Dunn will help get the team into another World Series. I must admit that Arizona does have some great players and they know how to win and tey have the potential to get in there. They had Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling were World Series MVPs for 2001 when they took 4 games out of 7 from the New York Yankees and the Yankees haven't been in a world since.
The Reds got a minor league pitcher Dallas Buck from Oregon State and he's supposed to be a good one. Well at least the Reds will have a better pitcher in the future in Dallas Buck. Other than that who knows?
