Happy cows!

If happy cows come from Cali, what is it that makes them happy? Isn't that where half of the cow mutilations take place? Doesn't half of Cali burn up in fires? If I was a cow in Cali, I would be scared that I was either going to be mutilated by aliens or burnt to a crisp. That wouldn't make me very happy. So yes, what makes the cows happy in that state?

Maybe they believe they'll end up in a Billy Crystal movie.

There's not many hillbillys in cali except yhe Clampets, who have probably all died off by now. So the cows are probably just less nervous.
