In short....then dont.
The long answer is that you can play WoW in a window rather than full screen, so you dont have to tab out, if playing solo you can go on youtube and forums all you want, made easier if you are something that can stealth.
If you play in a group then you will have to ask your group if they dont mind you not helping.

I dont personally play WoW but I know far too many people who do, none of whom can manage to multi-task while playing as you mentioned. My boyfriend is a WoW addict and his idea of multi-tasking during the game is looking over at me in the other room and telling something that one of the other players said to him in Vent. I make fun of him for it all the time! And it's been nine months for him bugging me to play, telling me, oh your computer can handle it, blah blah blah...I personally just don't understand the addiction.
