at the end of the day if educated MP's are doing such a s*** job then why cant people from working class backgrounds at least have a go, they cant do any worse. completely matter of opinion here but they would at least know what the normal brit is all about. the general consensus is that gordon chubby brown is the worst prime minister for a long time. revalution is what i say

You can't possibly be implying that Tony Blair is a socialist. If so, I'm inclined to think that you are too politically ignorant to have an educated opinion on the merits of a punitive justice system and its alternatives. No offence.

I was brought up in a tough industrial town, went to a sink comprehensive riddled with strike action by left wing dinosaurs more interested in their own agenda than teaching, a town where it was like a warzone at weekends.
I've heard and read Blair's speeches to socialist audiences in Europe, if you were more politically aware, you'd know this side of him, but after your later comment on not wanting working class people to be mp's because they wouldn't agree with your point of view...well no further comment needed.
I'm inclined to think you are too ignorant of what it is like to live amongst the results of the criminal justice system as it stands, coming from a backwater like Whitehaven, to be able to patronisingly preach to those of us who have experienced the sharp end of society. No offence
