ok whats the deal with this
i had 354 items when i went to delete them all, on a 1 gigabyte mp3 player but it came up saying there was only 189 before i did that

is there a reason it was banking out items or were folders being counted as items

also my dad had a similar problem where he put about 500 songs on an mp3 player and could only access about 300

does proper synchronisation take up more or less space than cutting and pasting music?

Your mp3 player is currently your most intimate electronic 'object.' When you interact with this 'object' it is best to practice the art of safe, i.e., proper <sychronisation>. [Notice, the English spelling, here?] Otherwise, you put yourself at risk, just as you would if you did not practice safe sex, during some sort of passionate interlude.

Do the songs have any kind of copy protection? that perhaps is stopping them from playing.
