What I'm wondering is - and this is not slagging anyone off - Sean Connery, well known supporter of an independant Scotland, when questioned of why he lives in the beautiful Bahamas instead of say Govan, says "Oh it's a principal, I'll only live in an independant Scotland"

How conveeeeeeeeeeeeenient

if independance ever happens - wonder if he will leave the beaches and the palm trees and the sunsets, and move there.

Noone chooses to live in Govan.

I love it here, independance is f***ing stupid though.

Hehe I was of course kidding by mentioning Govan - just remembered the name from Rab C Nesbitt. I had to have subtitles up when watching that show

Cultures tend to have two major holidays. In the United States for more than one hundred years the two were Independence Day and Washingtons Birthday. For Christians the two are Christmas and Easter. For Jews the two are Passover and Rosh Hashanah. The book we read on this subject didn't tell about Scottish Holidays, but maybe two holidays of note could be Boxing Day and the Glascow Fair.

I've never even heard of the Glasgow Fair.

We have four holidays. Christmas Holidays, Easter Holidays, Summer Holidays and Tattie Holidays.

Saint Patrick invented the electric light, but he could not have done it without James Clerk Maxwell who was a Scot even on the Fourth of August.

Saint Patrick invented growth charts so inventment advisors could compare investments, but he could not have done it without logarithms which were invented by John Napier, a Scot even on the Celtic feast of Lugnasaid.

Grandmam? took us to see Indiana Jones. Probably she expected to see Sean Connery in it. She gets weak in the knees and all tingly over Sean Connery.
