A little bit. The texture is almost the same.

The flavor is different though. They're usually boiled in a big pot with lots and lots of garlic and Crab Boil (a mixture of mustard seed, coriander, bay leaves, and cayenne pepper).

So they have a spicy, garlicy sorta flavor cooked into them.

oh because of all the people and parking and trash, i didn't know how whether the locals loved it or hated it. I guess the revenue makes up for any inconvenience.

Yummy for da tummy... make your very own View Image Homemade Pork Rinds

Ham skin
Fine salt

Preheat oven at 325 degrees F.
Put leftover ham skin on a sheet pan and sprinkle with salt. Bake until nice and crispy, usually about 3 hours.
